People react to change in many ways; some welcome it; some are cautious and have a 'wait and see' approach, some are very quiet and say nothing, others openly oppose it and others may question the need for change in the first place.
All of these reactions are normal and we can easily think of people in each of these groupings. It is valuable to understand both how people may react to change and the different ways they may do so. This understanding helps us work with people more constructively rather than maybe dismissing them as being negative, laggers and troublesome. The 4 Roomed Apartment Model (developed by Marvin Weisbord) is a simple model of change that describes 4 typical attitudes.
